The Unitarian Church of Montpelier is on the northwest corner of School and Main Streets in downtown Montpelier, across form the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. From the Golden Domed State House, go east on State Street to the corner of State and Main. Turn left at the stoplight there and the Church is two short blocks on the left.

In the six centuries since their expulsion from Spain in 1492, the vivid canticas, romances and ballads of the Sephardic Jews have artfully blended into the rhythms and melodies of the myriad cultures in which they settled, from Morocco and North Africa in the West, to the Greek, Turkish and Balkan regions of the Ottoman Empire in the East. Paul, Jeremiah, and Steve offer a wide-ranging assortment of the richly varied styles associated with the Jews of the Iberian diaspora

The Woodstock Unitarian Universalist Church is
the large white church with columns, on Route 4, just west of the Woodstock Green, and two doors down from the Town Hall on the right, as you are going west on Route 4 through Woodstock. If going east on Route 4 into Woodstock
the church is located on the left just after crossing the iron bridge near the Recreation Center, and before reaching the Green.
Parking is limited in the rear of the church
 and is also available on the street.

The CVCMF String Quartet receives a special grant from John Downs (Downs/Rachlin/Martin PLLC) in support of the second annual concert in the Randolph Union High School on 3/17/03.  Also in the picture is Janet Watton (Chandler Center for the Arts).

SPEND A MUSICAL WEEK IN THE UPPER VALLEY AREA
You can see eight different performances in eight days.

You can spend two weeks this August in the Upper Valley area and attend three different chamber music programs and two operas. And as if that's not enough, a chamber music concert and an opera matinee for children and families are also available.
The Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival is offering different programs on Saturday, August 11th (Haydn, Beethoven and Raff) and August 18th (Brahms & Shostakovich) at 8:00 pm in the Chandler Center for the Arts in Randolph, VT, a free concert Sunday, August 12th at 12:30 pm (music by classic Scottish violin masters including Niel Gow, J. Scott Skinner and Hector McAndrew) at the Three Stallion Inn, also in Randolph, VT and a repeat concert (Brahms & Shostakovich) August 19th at 4:00 pm in Woodstock, VT, and the first concert of the season (Haydn, Beethoven and Raff) on August 10th at 8:00 pm in Montpelier, VT.
You can take in any or all of these concerts and still see Opera North's productions of Puccini's Turandot on Saturday, Tuesday, Friday, Wednesday or Saturday, August 11th, 14th, 17th, 22nd, and 25th at 7:30 pm. You can see Opera North's productions of Verdi's Falstaff on Thursday, Saturday, Tuesday, or Friday, August 16th, 18th, 21st and 24th at 7:30 pm at the Lebanon Opera House in Lebanon, NH.
Family Matinees: Opera North will perform Verdi's Falstaff unabridged with orchestra, costumes, and full staging, on Thursday, August 23rd at 1:00 pm ($5 for children to age 18, $5 for one accompanying adult, $25 for other adults) at the Lebanon Opera House and the Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival children’s concert: Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns, in a special chamber version with guest narrator Charlie McMeekin at 11:00 am August 17th at the Chandler Center for the Arts ($1 for children, $3 for adults)
